Advertising On The Internet That Works Best
Tuesday, February 09th, 2010 | Author: Nim

As with anything, finding the right place to advertise is the way to be sure your campaign is successful. When you are surfing the net then you will know that most people hate popup ads, and if they see one with your name on it, they probably aren’t going to show up at your site. The same can be said for spam emails. Though some click on them, most don’t. Go with the least intrusive ways you can find when you are considering advertising on the internet to get your name out there. What you will pay for this type of advertising on the Internet may just depend on how many people actually view your ad, or how many may click on it and make a purchase.

For those just starting out, would simply getting products listed with search engines be enough to bolster sales? Any internet advertising tips for all of us struggling to keep the doors open would be much appreciated.

Do you think internet advertising is getting out of hand?

I know most sites use this to make money to keep their sites up and running, and to also allow free content. However I can’t help but notice an increase in the number of ads you see on a site, and how they are in unnecessary spots. For example, when you goto to some sites to watch videos, a 15-30 second ad plays before. Now I’m not saying I’m impatient or anything but when you want to watch a video, you want to see the video and only the video. Plus when you watch numerous ones, do you really want to see the same four ads over and over? It may not be a big deal now, but in the future this may get out of hand. Do you think these types of ads even work? I’d like to hear from both sides of the agruement as to good reasons or bad reasons to internet advertising. Thanks in advance!

I’m trying to find a qualified resource to provide some generic answers concerning a new Internet advertising model. Basically this model will offer potential advertisers a low monthly volume of extremely high-quality leads. The questions I have relate to a) pricing and b) marketing this new service. So, where do I look for this advice?

Lux asked:

I’m starting a media buying course and I have no idea how internet advertising works. What kinds of questions does a website ask when when selling ad space to a business? How do websites decide what to charge? Does the size of the ad matter? Information of any kind is welcomed…please help!
